The Bike Training Collective Canada is offering free in-person training sessions for youth interested in a career as a bike mechanic.
Through the support of the Peter Gilgan Foundation and City of Toronto, the mission of the Bike Training Collective Canada is to train new bike mechanics, focusing on youth, women, and racialized individuals, to meet the anticipated growth in the implementation of the City of Toronto’s TransformTO Net Zero Strategy.
By partnering with local training organizations to offer comprehensive training and skills development, trained mechanics are then connected with employers to find meaningful work. This contributes to a sustainable and vibrant cycling community in Toronto.
There are 3 different training programs available starting in January.
