Program Description
PTP's Elevate program gives you in-demand knowledge and skills to land a career in one of Ontario's largest and fastest growing industries. This 10-week online training will help participants gain valuable food safety certificates and employment opportunities.
The program is partnered with over 100 employers in GTA and Peel region, from Coco Cola to Bimbo Canada that are proudly supporting the program's graduates and the community.
Program curriculum includes:
- COVID-19 Safety Measures
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Food Handler Certification
- Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- Cleaning and Sanitizing Procedures
- Hearing Protection
- Heat Exhaustion
- Back Injury Prevention
- Forklift/Lift Truck Safety Awareness
- Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO)
- Occupational Health and Safety
Eligibility criteria: newcomer or Ontario Works recipient.
