The Government of Canada is preparing the second State of Youth Report, which will be released in 2025.
What is the State of Youth Report?
The State of Youth Report builds on Canada's Youth Policy, which promotes young people's values and aims to include their voices in important federal decisions.
The first report, published in 2021, identified key priorities for young people. Since then, the world has evolved, and this second report will seek to reflect current realities such as changes in the labour market, climate concerns, and access to mental health resources.
Why contribute to it?
Participating in the development of this report is an opportunity to share your ideas, challenges and experiences. Your voice is essential for:
- Represent the realities of youth from diverse backgrounds (newcomers, Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQIA+, rural, etc.).
- Highlight the issues that are important to you: climate, employment, mental health, innovation, etc.
- Influence federal policies and programs to truly meet your needs.
- To be part of a more inclusive, equitable and supportive Canada, where young people play an active role in the decisions that shape their future.
How to participate?
You can participate by completing the online questionnaire by February 16, 2025.
If you cannot complete the online questionnaire or have questions, contact jeunesse-youth@pch.gc.ca for an alternative solution. This questionnaire is secure and confidential.
