Transitions to Post-Secondary Education (TPE) Program at George Brown College Information Sessions

TPE is a FREE College program for adults aged 19+ who faced barriers to further education as a result of mental health or addiction issues

Over the course of 3-6 semesters, TPE students have the opportunity to:

  • explore careers and career pathways
  • earn College-level credits in English, computers, and up to 18 college-level classes
  • gain competitive advantage for admissions into further post-secondary diploma programs
  • receive dedicated support to navigate challenges and plan next steps

TPE is for you if you:

  • are ready for a change but need support, information and experience to make an informed decision about your next steps
  • need academic credentials and/or academic confidence to prepare for entry into college diploma programs
  • have faced barriers to employment or education related to mental health and/or addictions

To be eligible for entry into the Transitions to Post-Secondary Education (TPE) program, you must also:

  1. Be an adult, age 19 years or older and have a permanentSocial Insurance Number
  2. Demonstrate English writing skills sufficient for entry into the program
  3. Self-identify as someone facing barriers to education and/or employment related to mental health and/or substance use issues

How to Register

TPE is currently recruiting students to start in May 2024 for IN-PERSON classes. Prospective students must attend an ONLINE information session and an IN-PERSON application session in order to meet the admissions requirements.
