Advocacy Incubator: Youth Take Charge

Start Date
End Date
LEARN from other young activists, BUILD a campaign, PITCH your campaign!

ABOUT

The two-day event will include keynotes from youth leaders like Stephen Mensah, Toronto Youth Cabinet. Sessions will be led by youth from partner organizations Jack.orgLeadnow.ca and Amnesty International Canada - that will teach young people about strategy, the tools and tactics of making change, and how to communicate their message.

This virtual opportunity is for young people 12-18 years old in Canada.

LEARN

Sign up for a two-day virtual summit on advocacy, communications, and campaigns, featuring incredible keynote speakers, trainers, and facilitators who are young people just like you! During the summit, you’ll be matched up into teams on issues you care about such as climate change, poverty, or racism.

BUILD

Together with your team you will take what you learn from young activists in the main sessions and apply it in your breakout groups where you build a campaign.

PITCH

Your team will develop a campaign pitch that you will present to other summit participants. The winning groups from the first round will advance to do a shark-tank style pitch to a panel of politicians, communicators, and partner organizations. Work to have your cause be the winning campaign!

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to hone your advocacy skills and make a difference!
