How Do I Apply to College?

You can apply to college if you are a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, refugee claimant, or have citizenship from another country.

You can apply to College as:

  1. A Domestic Student – if you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  2. An International (Foreign) Student – if you are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. You will need a study permit to attend school in Ontario. Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Ontario Immigration have more information for International students.

Apply to College

To apply to a Ontario college, you need to submit an application to the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS).

Deadline to apply:

Colleges do not have final application deadlines like universities. You can apply to colleges at any time, if applications are available. However, if you apply after a certain date, you will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis, if there is space. OCAS has more information.
